Hello, my name is Josh Langille-Hoppee, and it is a blessing to be the pastor at First United Methodist Church of Golden, CO. I have been a pastor for 22 years during which time I have served churches in Missouri, Oklahoma, Utah, and Colorado.
I love hiking and exploirng the mountains, walking Bennie, our Irish Setter, swimming, and traveling. Margueirte and I have been married for 22 years, and we have two sons Walden and Atticus who are in high school.
In 2025 I earned a doctor of ministry from Brite Divinity School where I completed a project on how Methodist spirituality, food systems, and our connection to specific places are intertwined. I love gleaning fresh produce and working with food pantries to distribute food to people who have need.
I earned my masters of divinity degree from Saint Paul School of Theology in 2006, and I was ordaing an elder in the United Methodist Church in 2010.
I grew up in Oklahoma City before moving to Summit County, Colorado with my family where I finished high school. I spent a year in Cordoba, Argentina as a Rotary Youth Exchange student before attending Colorado State University where I earned my bachelor's degree in Natural Resources Journalism. I was editor of the student newspaper at CSU, and I worked at newspapers in Fort Collins, Craig, and Durango.
