	WORSHIP at First UMC of Golden Three Worship Opportunities to Fit Your Needs This Summer 11:00 AM, SUNDAYS- We have a single Sunday morning service during the summer. 6:00 PM, WEDNESDAYS - WORSHIP ON WEDNESDAY begins with a light supper @ 6:00PM with a short worship at 6:30, ending by 7:00. Held on the Pavilion between our two buildings, it is a perfect Summer Worship Setting. Taize Style Worship meets once a month at 6:00 pm, normally on the first Sunday of the month. For August, Taize will meet on August 8th.

HERITAGE SUNDAY IN THE PARK THIS SUNDAY, JULY 18, 2010, we will be having our Annual Heritage Sunday Service in Lions Park at 10:00 AM, followed by a potluck. Come and join this wonderful celebration of our 151st year of ministry in Golden, Colorado. EVERYONE IS WELCOME We are the longest continuously worshipping Protestant congregation in the State of Colorado. Our sister church, St. James in Central City, was chartered one week before Golden, but we had worshipped the week before the Rev. Jacob Adrience went up the hill to St. James. VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL "GALACTIC BLAST" AUGUST 1-5, 2010 Join us for five consecutive evenings of VBS excitement ... of "Galactic" proportions. All ages are included, from nursery to adults. We begin with a meal at 5:30 pm, with "galactic" rotations from 6:00 to 8:00. VBS Registration Form
For more information, or to register online, click on Marriage Encounter UM The next Colorado Weekend is: October 15-17, 2010 in Colorado Springs	MARRIAGE MINISTRIES Worldwide Marriage Encounter United Methodist is a ministry to couples through Weekend Encounters. Marriage Encounter is an invitation to spend an entire weekend focusing on your spouse and your relationship, working toward God's ideal for marriage. It takes couples beyond the frustration, disappointments, or loneliness that can be a part of everyday life. There is no age limit on joy! Couples from all walks of life, newly married to golden anniversaries have been a part of a Marriage Encounter Weekend. The weekend is designed to inspire couples to understand their own feelings about various aspects of their marriage. Couples learn to restore and improve communication skills which can rekindle romance.
