JANUARY 31, 2010

FIFTH SUNDAY IS SPECIAL! Mark your calendars: January 31st is a Fifth Sunday, so there will be only one worship service at 11 am, followed by lunch in the Fellowship Hall with a very special speaker. The prayer Groups are excited to present Kip Moore and his son, Chance. Kip is the author of the book Second Chance: The Story of a Father's Faith, a Mother's Strength and a Child's Will to Live, which tells the story of his family as they faced the possibility of loosing 18-month old Chance to a grave, food-borne illness. Kip's story is a heartwarming testament to the power of prayer and the possibility of miracle in the life of an ordinary man. The church will provide meat, drinks & tableware; everyone is asked to bring a dish to share.

DONATE TO HAITI EARTHQUAKE RELIEF THROUGH UMCOR (The United Methodist Committee on Relief) 100% of all gifts go directly to Haiti. The American Institute of Philanthropy rates more than five hundred charities on how much of and how quickly their revenue is used for the charitable purposes. UMCOR is one of only 23 of those charities that get the highest grade of A+. A good reason to give money to UMCOR for international disaster relief.
