| Global Missions- A New Challenge! After serving as pastor of Golden First United Methodist Church (UMC) from 1995 through July 2000, Rev. Youngsook Kang accepted an offer to serve as Deputy General Secretary with the General Board of Global Ministries (GBGM) of the United Methodist Church (UMC). The GBGM is located in Manhatten, New York City. Youngsook has responsibility for two of GBGM's seven program areas: Mission Education, and Mission Contexts and Relationships. The position involves extensive national and global travel. Golden First UMC is proud that Youngsook's talents have been recognized by the GBGM for this important and challenging global ministry. May God bless her and her family! And may God work through her spirit always! |
